Minimum qualifications:

  • 15 years of experience in product management in a technical domain (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.).
  • 8 years of experience leading and managing people in a technical team/organization.
  • Experience with leading or influencing engineering teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 20 years of experience in product management in a technical domain.
  • 8 years of experience in developing and scaling enterprise platforms with ecosystems, and delivering impact.
  • Experience in one of the following: Enterprise Service Desk software, contact center software, workforce management software, CRM products, case management, business process automation.
  • Strong people and communication skills, with ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Track record managing and leading product teams and projects in global teams, including understanding of software development and deployment.
  • Expertise in one of the following: analytics and visualization, machine learning, large-scale distributed systems, user experience design.

About the job

The Enterprise Product Management (EPM) Organization is leading product management to enable Corp Eng to evolve our current product landscape to be a much more connected and seamless environment for Googlers to get their work accomplished while integrating AI. EPM is responsible for the domain-specific products while also infusing a deeper understanding and appreciation of how these products interact across Googler journeys and workflows. This role will work side by side with the Enterprise Platforms Engineering team that is building enterprise platforms that will power solutions to a number of enterprise business problems at Google with an AI first approach. Platforms such as contact center, service desk, business process automation, policy engine, content authoring and publishing, case management, CRM, etc. for Google’s enterprise businesses.

In this role, you will lead a team of Product Managers that significantly contribute to Google by driving platform strategy, ensuring cross-functional alignment, wielding substantial decision-making autonomy, and fostering a customer-centric product maturity model. This role is essential for navigating the complexities of platform development, ensuring strategic alignment, and driving product adoption across Corp Eng. This includes not just execution but also shaping long-term strategy, influencing diverse stakeholders, and fostering a strong product culture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop overall strategy and vision for Enterprise Platform Products with AI Powered capabilities supported by a strong ecosystem  - working closely with key stakeholders and partners. 
  • Build a deep understanding of customer and user needs, as well as market and competitive analysis to help inform our platform priorities that achieve product-market fit.
  • Invest and scale the Enterprise Product Ecosystem.
  • Forge strong partnerships with key stakeholders, grounded in trust, mutual accountability, and proven results. Execute a platform approach consistent with other Google platform/infrastructure work, and develop strategic relationships across Google. 
  • Develop a robust problem intake funnel that results in product roadmaps, rationalize investments and leveraged resource allocation, create funding proposals, and establish prioritization principles based on outcomes and impact. Quantify platform product value with data, establish developer productivity standards (evals, benchmarks), and showcase Google's thought leadership.
